Helios - 1889 - 1904

Translucent yellow-amber ground; decorated with either red or green dots and stripes. Decor identified by Warren Galle & Deb Fitzsimmons.

Note: This decor was originally placed on the site under "Ausf 122 variant".  There are only 11 line drawings published from the Loetz archives that list the decor "Helios".  Eight of these drawings can be found in a small cluster from PN II-900 to 919.  Thanks to good detective work by Warren Gallé and Deb Fitzsimmons who were able to match two paper patterns, PN II-910 & II-916, both listing the rare "Helios" decor as being produced in these shapes, with two photographic examples that matched these shapes (the "silver bullet" test), this decor can now be officially documented.
